The Challenge

As Hong Kong International Airport continues to enhance hygiene measures amid the ongoing recovery of travel and evolving health risks, surface disinfection remains critical to minimising the transmission of viruses and bacteria. High-touch surfaces, including luggage trolleys, seating areas, check-in counters, and other facilities, are frequently handled by passengers and staff, while traditional manual disinfection methods can be time-consuming, labour-intensive, and less consistent.

Our Solution

Building on the success of our first-generation trolley gatebot, we have developed the second-generation robot – a fully autonomous mobile disinfection robot designed for versatile, high-efficiency operation. This AGV-sized robot features advanced self-navigation and intelligent obstacle avoidance, allowing it to independently map and traverse airport environments without fixed tracks or hovering mechanisms.
